Tube Plugs or Tapered tube plug seal the ends of leaking tubes, providing longer use of the Condensers , Heat Exchangers ,Boilers and Chillers. The uniform taper and the smooth surface finish assure positive sealing with minimum installation force. The one-piece design of the pin plug provides an easy solution to permanent plugging for tubes or tubesheet holes.

Application

For permanent plugging of condenser and heat exchanger tubes and tubesheet holes. Can be used in some high temperature/pressure heat exchangers . Tube plugs driven into leaking tubes just before heat exchanger goes back into operation

2) For best results with sealing tubes without damaging tubesheets, please be sure to use the correct size tube plugs (based on tube O.D. and gauge using our chart below). When ordering tube plugs, please keep in mind that the tube plug and the tube metal should always match.

3) Installation Instructions: • Clean and wipe dry the tube end or tubesheet to be plugged. • Using hammer, lightly, pound plug into tube or tubesheet • Can be welded if necessary
